"La Dolce Vita" exhibition inaugurated in Lucerne
Lopresto continues its collaboration with the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne with a new exhibition, inaugurated on Monday November 29th. The exhibition, entitled "La Dolce Vita", is dedicated to Alfa Romeo Spiders.
No other type of car has embodied Italian style since the 1950s and 1960s better than the Alfa Romeo spiders. The Giulietta firstly and later the “Duetto” perfectly represented the dream for freedom of the years of the economic boom.
The exhibition displays some rare prototypes and pre-series examples of the Lopresto collection and in particular the prototype of the Giulietta Spider presented at the 1955 Paris Motor Show, a pre-production example with a racing past in the United States, the prototype of a Giulia Spider never produced in series and the first example of 1750 Spider Veloce “Osso di Seppia”, chassis 0001.
In addition to these cars, the public will be able to admire a pre-production unit of the 1993 Spider, heir to the successful series, and the Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider Ghia prototype, an alternative that never went into production for a high-end Spider.
On the occasion of the inauguration, the 1965 Abarth 1000 Bialbero Record from the Pearl Collection, recently restored by Lopresto with a conservative approach, was also unveiled to the public in the museum's cine-theater.
